Corporate Headquarters
Would you like to work strategically and focus on purchasing, supply chain management, finance/controlling or HR? Then apply for a trainee programme at our head office in Düsseldorf! Here we will prepare you for a target position in your area of focus within 18 months.

Get to know the business in a MAKRO store: organisation, cooperation with employees, customers.
Assumption of initial management responsibility (management of a department).
Getting to know the central sales department and other interfaces at the company headquarters.
Stay abroad in one of our over 20 METRO countries.
Intensive training to become an operations manager.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING WITH YOU
- (Technical) university degree in a business-related field of study (Bachelor or Master)
- Practical experience in retail, gastronomy or the consumer goods industry
- Enthusiasm for our customers, products and interest in taking on a management position
- Result- and solution-oriented work
- Initiative and team spirit
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- High flexibility and mobility

Familiarisation with your main department, including getting to know interfaces and colleagues.
Sales phase: 2-week assignment in one of our MAKRO stores as well as "taster days" in our customer management and one of our delivery depots.
"Looking beyond your own nose": getting to know other departments at the company headquarters.
Taking on your own projects in the department.
Foreign phase in one of the other more than 20 METRO countries in a focal department.
Independent project work and familiarisation with your target position.
